Job description

About the Role:

As a Regional Banking Manager, you will oversee multiple branch locations within a designated region, ensuring operational excellence across loans, deposits, personnel, facilities, and customer service. You will serve as the key liaison between branch teams and corporate departments such as Human Resources, Compliance, Audit, and Operations. This leadership role is pivotal in driving business development, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering a high-performance culture aligned with the bank’s mission and values.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and supervise Branch Managers across multiple locations.
  • Provide strategic direction to achieve regional and organizational goals.
  • Oversee budgeting, expense control, and financial performance of branches.
  • Drive business development initiatives and customer relationship management.
  • Ensure consistent operations and communication across all branches.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Manage internal audits and compliance, including BSA, CRA, and policy updates.
  • Represent the bank in community, regulatory, and professional settings.
  • Approve loans within designated authority and support lending decisions.
  • Hire, develop, and manage performance of branch staff.
  • Conduct quarterly check-ins and goal setting with team members.
  • Coordinate compliance examinations and interact with audit committees.

 

What We’re Looking For:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years in bank management.
  • Proven leadership in the financial industry with a track record of achieving business goals.

Education:

  • Degree in business or related field preferred (may be substituted with extensive experience and job knowledge).

Required Skills:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep understanding of banking policies, procedures, and compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel extensively (up to 60%).
  • Experience with performance management and staff development.
  • Commitment to community engagement and customer service excellence.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience serving on local boards or in civic organizations.
  • Familiarity with regional banking operations and market dynamics.
