About the Opportunity 

The Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimising enterprise-level digital experiences using AEM.

This position is responsible for building scalable, high-performance web applications by leveraging AEM’s content management capabilities, backend development frameworks, and frontend technologies.

The AEM Developer collaborates closely with architects, designers, and business stakeholders to create custom components, workflows, and integrations that enhance user engagement and streamline content delivery

  • Core AEM Responsibilities: Manage digital content using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) by creating, maintaining, and publishing assets for seamless delivery. Develop AEM components, templates, and content fragments to meet business needs. Optimize workflows and automation to streamline content approvals and publishing.
  • Technical Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain AEM backend solutions using Java and OSGi. Build dynamic components with HTL and JSP, manage dispatcher configurations, and optimize caching for performance. Integrate third-party services via RESTful APIs and implement front-end solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React for headless AEM..
  • DevOps & Deployment: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated AEM deployments and stable releases. Manage AEM cloud services, including AEMaaCS, for scalable cloud-based solutions.
  • Analytics & Optimisation: Integrate Adobe Analytics with AEM to track user behaviour and optimize digital experiences. Implement SEO and performance enhancements for better visibility and speed.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with business goals. Provide guidance and training on AEM best practices to support the technology team and wider business


About you 

You are a seasoned AEM professional with over 5 years of hands-on experience in development and implementation. You have a deep understanding of AEM architecture, Sling, JCR, and OSGi frameworks, and are an expert in AEM headless CMS, including Content Services, GraphQL, and JSON APIs. Your technical expertise extends to HTL (Sightly), JavaScript, CSS, LESS/SASS, and you are familiar with React for headless implementations.

You have a proven track record of integrating AEM with Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, and third-party APIs, as well as building responsive, accessible, and SEO-friendly components. With experience in multi-site management, localization, and content distribution strategies, you thrive in Agile environments and are proficient with tools like Azure DevOps.

You have excellent communication skills and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, architects, and stakeholders. Your strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies ensures you consistently deliver high-quality solutions.
