As part of the Data and Analytics Engineering team you support the design and implementation of data pipelines and analytics solutions. As an Associate you focus on learning and contributing to client engagement and projects while developing your skills and knowledge to deliver quality work. This role offers an opportunity to grow technical knowledge in cloud and data solutions, contributing to projects that drive business insights and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Pipeline Development & Management
Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data ingestion pipelines on AWS using services such as AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and S3.
Develop and optimize ETL/ELT jobs to load structured and semi-structured data from various sources into Snowflake.
Ensure pipeline performance is cost-optimized with robust error handling, logging, and monitoring mechanisms.
Snowflake Data Warehouse Administration
Develop and manage Snowflake schemas, warehouses, resource monitors, and access roles.
Implement data security, including role-based access control (RBAC) and dynamic data masking.
Optimize Snowflake query performance through clustering, caching strategies, and efficient warehouse sizing.
Data Quality & Observability
Integrate data validation rules and quality checks within pipelines to ensure data integrity.
Monitor data freshness, completeness, and consistency using tools such as Deequ, Great Expectations, or custom validation logic.
Operational Monitoring & Managed Services Support
Provide continuous monitoring and support for data pipelines to address client incidents, enhancement requests, and SLA adherence.
Contribute to runbook development, detailed documentation, and knowledge transfer processes to ensure seamless managed service operations.
Collaboration & Client Engagement
Collaborate with business and analytics teams to understand data requirements and support analytics and reporting use cases.
Work closely with onshore/offshore teams to deliver responsive and proactive data engineering support under a managed services model
Qualifications:
4–6 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer, with 2+ years working on AWS.
2+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake – including SQL scripting, data modeling, and performance tuning.
Proficiency in Python, PySpark, or SQL for ETL/ELT pipeline development.
Experience with AWS Glue, Lambda, S3, Redshift Spectrum, or Athena.
Knowledge of data architecture, data lake/data warehouse concepts, and dimensional modeling.
Snowflake SnowPro Certification and/or AWS Data Analytics Specialty is a strong plus.
