HR Data Analyst

Amentum is seeking an HR Operations Data Analyst to play a key role in transforming HR data into actionable insights that support strategic decisions. This role involves data analysis, reporting, and visualization to improve workforce planning, operational efficiency, and organizational performance. This position requires US citizenship and is a US remote-telework position.  

What You'll Do

  • Analyze large, complex HR datasets to identify trends, insights, and opportunities.
  • Clean, validate, and organize raw data to ensure accuracy and integrity across systems, including outlier detection and anomaly detection, to maintain data integrity and quality.
  • Create predictive models and perform advanced analytics to forecast HR outcomes.
  • Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Power BI.
  • Lead small-scale projects and contribute to broader data science and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Partner with IT and HRIS teams to maintain and enhance data models and reporting frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and governance standards.
  • Collaborate with HR and cross-functional teams to gather reporting needs and deliver actionable findings.
  • Continuously improve reporting processes and data visualization to enhance user experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Human Resources, Business Administration, Statistics, Information Technology/Computer Science or a related field—or equivalent work experience (2 years related work experience equivalent to one year of the degree requirement).
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, modeling, visualization and reporting.
  • Proficient in SQL, Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, nested formulas, charts & graphs), and Power BI.
  • Expertise in data visualization, creation of creative presentations and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively about complex business problems.
  • Experience with tools such as PowerApps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Smartsheet.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of data governance principles and practices.
  • US Citizenship is required to apply.

Preferred Qualifications

•      Experience with HRIS platforms, especially Workday is preferred.

•      Background in HR analytics or workforce data analysis is beneficial.

•      Familiarity with HR data privacy regulations is desired.

•      Exposure to big data tools and environments is helpful.
