Job description

 

We are looking for a highly motivated Account Manager – High Tech to become an important member of a multidisciplinary team to join and further develop our ambition!

Your Job

  • As our new colleague in Account Manager – High Tech you are responsible for managing and growing business relationships across Türkiye, the CIS, and MEA regions. This role involves planning and executing annual or multi-year sales strategies in alignment with BASF | Nunhems’ overall marketing and sales objectives. The Account Manager serves as the main point of contact for key customers, ensuring their needs are understood and met through tailored solutions.

Major Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to manage and grow relationships with key customers, including agricultural retailers, distributors, and import/export partners in responsible area.
  • Drive sales and revenue growth by identifying opportunities, setting targets, negotiating contracts, and monitoring performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, regulatory, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful product launches, promotions, and market penetration.
  • Lead and support Customer Solutions Teams and crop/country sales teams to deliver tailored solutions and become the preferred partner across the vegetable value chain.
  • Strengthen market intelligence by analyzing trends, customer and competitor insights, and identifying new traits and opportunities.
  • Organize promotional activities such as demo fields, campaigns, and customer events.
  • Ensure the successful execution of global crop projects, meeting goals, timelines, and budgets.
  • Provide regular reporting on key account activities and proactively manage risks through contingency planning.
  • Oversee the implementation of regional marketing processes including go-to-market strategies, customer experience, digitalization, and key account management.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor/master’s degree in business administration/agriculture with experience in Sales & Marketing
  • Previous experience in account management role preferably in seed business
  • Proven relationship builder at all levels including Company owners, decision makers and senior influencers.
  • Proactive approach to Key Account Management and customer relationship management processes
  • Experience gathering data and analyzing it to determine opportunities and threats
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
  • Very good commercial and negotiations skills
  • Strategic approach with strong operational focus
