The Maintenance Coordinator performs a variety of duties in the delivery of Maintenance, Facilities Management and Contracted Services, with a focus on optimizing value received from field activities. The coordinator will be expected to increase up time and Maintenance and Contractor efficiency by matching production and maintenance schedules. He/she maintains liaison and coordination between Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and Contractors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for monitoring all work requests that come into the CMMS. Notification through Completion, including Maintenance Based PMs. (Operations schedules, prints, and closes operational PM’s )Share Maintenance KPI’s with area. Monitor and record Schedule Compliance.
  • They work with the production area to secure a maintenance window to complete the work.
  • They work with operations, engineering, Equipment Reliability, and the maintenance group to address, investigate, and resolve equipment related issues.
  • They partner with the Plant Engineer assigned to their area of responsibility.   They communicate the weekly schedule to the operations area(s).
  • The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for monitoring all work requests that come into the CMMS.   • They partner with the Plant Engineer assigned to their area of responsibility.   They communicate the weekly schedule to the operations area(s).
  • Attend Project scheduling and progress meetings.
  • Gather Equipment Information
  • The Maintenance Coordinator works with specialists and engineers to help obtain blueprints, BOM's, SAP data, P&lD's, drawings, manuals and special procedures, as needed, from files and other sources that are necessary to clarify the intent of the work to be done.
  • Field visits of the jobs will be necessary, along with networking with appropriate resources to secure any needed information.
  • The Maintenance Coordinator works with Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Scheduling Superintendent, and contractors to establish weekly maintenance and resource (both personnel and equipment) schedules for their area of responsibility.This includes meeting at least weekly to develop a schedule and share resources as necessary across the site.
  • Create job and work plans within CMMS and the work order. This includes assisting engineering with developing maintenance procedures as necessary, arranging the delivery of parts and availability of any special tools or equipment, and including any special safety requirements. Creation and maintenance of Job Plan files for reoccurring work. Ensure proper feedback is disseminated to appropriate parties within the planning/scheduling/execution process. Schedule and participate in job walk throughs. (making sure that all appropriate parties are invited). Execute Contractor Safety Audits Weekly (Contractor Audit Form with flow chart).

REQUIREMENTS

  • .Minimum of 5 years’ maintenance experience required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Solid understanding of process equipment (pumps, agitators, instrumentation, and piping).
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written with strong computer skills in SAP/ PM Module, Word, Excel, etc. 
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a variety of customers
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently. Excellent planning, organizing, and documentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, ability to influence others. Ability to lead teams and be an effective team member, of both maintenance and operations groups.
  • Good troubleshooting and analytical skills to evaluate data. 
  • Familiar with Proactive Asset Management work processes and methodologies
