ChristianaCare’s mission is for the love of health to serve our neighbors as expert, caring partners in their health. Our Center for Medical Genomics currently has 12 genetic counselors that provide genetic counseling across multiple service lines, including oncology, prenatal, NICU, cardiovascular, neurology and adult services. The Center for Medical Genomics is currently recruiting for 1 Full-time Genetic Counselor to join our team.
Our genetic counselors are responsible for conducting intake screening and risk assessment, explaining the nature and scope of testing procedures and following up with results. We also provide opportunities to teach and supervise residents, fellows, undergraduate students and graduate genetic counseling students. The genetic counselors also have opportunities to provide educational lectures to professionals as well as participate in community outreach. Educational enrichment is integral to the position with participation in journal clubs and case conferences.
This is a split position between prenatal and cancer.
