The Digital Career Institute (DCI) is looking for a freelance Python Trainer to support our courses and help our participants make the leap into the digital world.

Our English Python course starts every week in live classes in the morning hours from Monday to Thursday.

Are you an experienced Python backend developer who would like to share your expertise and enthusiasm with our course participants as a lecturer?

At the DCI, we attach great importance to the topicality and quality of our course content, providing our motivated graduates with the perfect start to their careers.

Our courses deliver ready-made slide decks for teaching theory and detailed information on practical application(s).

In addition to Python basics, other course topics include:
- API's
- Django
- Cloud Deployment
- Databases (PostgreSQL, SQL)

Your purpose:
As a freelance Python lecturer will accompany our participants from basic computer literacy to their first certificate within a year and see them off to their first job in the IT industry.

In doing so, you will be able to convey even complex content in a creative and engaging way, tailored to the different levels of knowledge among the participants.

You are familiar with the tools for successful online teaching. You and your pedagogical skills are no strangers to mistakes and learning culture.
Your Tasks
// As a Python teacher, you are responsible for //
  • The successful implementation of the teaching content (lots of practical relevance) and you train the students to become digital pioneers
  • You are available with advice and support for all open content-related questions from students, and work on building a trusting and personality-promoting relationship
  • Your ideas for optimising the course and continuous evaluation lead to an increased learning experience
Your Skills
  • Successful completion of studies in the field of programming, or alternatively, completed training or further education in the field
  • Several years of professional experience as a Python developer or in a comparable role
  • Enthusiasm for tech topics - we want the spark to ignite!
  • Enjoy knowledge transfer and online teaching - initial teaching experience is desirable
  • Creative ideas and methods for implementing the theory-practice transfer
  • Strong planning, organisational and communication skills, and a high degree of empathy
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills to convey complex tech topics in an understandable and engaging way
