Responsibilities:
Provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to female patients undergoing cancer treatment, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and hormonal therapy.
Collaborates with oncologists, gynecologic oncologists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Monitors patients for side effects and complications from cancer treatments, and promptly respond to adverse reactions or emergencies.
Educates patients and their families on disease processes, treatment options, side effect management, and self-care strategies.
Performs comprehensive nursing assessments and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation in electronic medical records.
Supports patients through all phases of cancer care, including diagnosis, active treatment, survivorship, and palliative care.
Assists with clinic procedures such as biopsies, port access, specimen collection, and coordination of diagnostic testing.
Participates in quality improvement initiatives, patient education workshops, and staff training related to oncology and women’s health.
May perform other duties as assigned.
