We are looking for a motivated and analytical Assistant Category Manager to support the development and execution of category strategies. The role involves data analysis, supplier coordination, promotional planning, and day-to-day support for achieving category sales, profit, and inventory goals.
Assist the Category Manager in developing and implementing category strategies to drive sales and profitability.
Analyze category performance, sales trends, market data, and customer insights to support decision-making.
Manage product assortments, monitor stock levels, and recommend SKU rationalization or expansion.
Coordinate promotional campaigns, including pricing, product placement, and advertising activities.
Support negotiations with suppliers on pricing, promotions, and product terms.
Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, supply chain, and finance to ensure category objectives are met.
Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for category reviews and strategy sessions.
Ensure accurate and timely product and price updates across systems and platforms.
Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
13 years of experience in category management, buying, merchandising, or a similar role.
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with proficiency in Excel and category management tools.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Experience in FMCG, retail, or e-commerce sector.
Knowledge of consumer behavior, product life cycles, and competitive analysis.
Familiarity with ERP systems, merchandising tools, or BI platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI).
