What’s on offer?


We are seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join the Western Region Delivery Team on this long term frameworks contract (10-year construction project pipeline, circa $2bn) in western Sydney.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, this role will be a permanent staff appointment to the team overseeing the procurement and downstream pre/post contract management function for concurrent water infrastructure, and utilities projects across the western suburbs.


In this role you'll be responsible for:

  • Understanding of all aspects of the construction and utilities contracts and determining key areas of financial risk

  • Preparing bills of quantities and managing cost control

  • Sourcing appropriate subcontractors and ensuring favourable commercial terms are obtained in accordance with Company subcontracting protocols, including standardised terms of contract and insurances review

  • Administrating sub-contractor and client variation & EOT claims

  • Dealing with sub-contractor and client payment claims

  • Liaising closely with the Utilities Manager, National Program Manager, Project Managers and the project team

  • Ensuring monthly financial reporting requirements are met based on disciplined forecasting and tracking of revenue and costs

  • General commercial administration and document control


How you'll connect to the role:

  • To be successful in this role you will need to be experienced as a Contracts Administrator within the construction or utilities sectors. You will also,

  • Possess a good working knowledge of forms of contract currently used within the construction/utilities industry

  • Preferable to have a relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar field

  • Have good IT skills and advanced skills in Excel and Word

  • Have a high level of personal motivation and commercial acumen

  • Experience with JDE will be an advantage, but is not essential
