The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:
Engineering and Technology Application Services (ETAS) is seeking an Application Administrator with expertise in supporting enterprise deployments of engineering applications, including PTC Windchill and Siemens EDM, with a focus on MBD/CAD design and data configuration support and troubleshooting. This role requires availability for off-shift system administration support and occasional travel up to 10%.
As an Application Administrator, you will be a part of a platform team supporting the enterprise engineering applications and user interactions with desktop applications, multiple configurations of our applications, and projects. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving application issues, deploying and updating applications, and supporting root cause analysis of infrastructure, system integration, and performance issues.
What You Will Do:
Provide technical support and solutions on performance and environment issues to resolve impacts to teams and end users.
Support root cause investigation and corrective action reports with regards to outages and urgent issues impacting end users.
Execute maintenance plans, perform vendor-recommended tasks, maintain vault space, and manage log/temp file cleanup and remote file server setups.
Review servers, alerts, and logs for issues using monitoring tools, develop test plans, debug issues, and perform root cause analysis.
Provide configurations and procedural recommendations that benefit users, fellow team members, and other configurations of the environments we support.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience in debugging, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale deployed virtualized applications that are configured in a three-tier secure architecture that supports internal and external collaboration.

Experience managing and troubleshooting engineering applications on both Linux and Windows operating systems and CAD desktop tools like Creo Parametric, PTC Windchill Workgroup Manager, and/or Siemens xDM Designer
Ability to effectively discuss, describe, and document situations, problems, or ideas to clearly communicate with team members, leaders, and customers.
Knowledge and experience deploying, administering and upgrading a complex PLM system and Oracle RDBMS.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with Engineering architecture and design concepts especially in the US Aerospace and defense sector.
Experience with developing automations based on bash, ant, Java, PL/SQL, and/or XML.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, customer support environment and with all levels of the organization.
Detailed working knowledge of Atlassian suite in combination with Agile methodologies

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
