The Life, Health, and Disability Insurance Claims and Administrative Support Department has the mission of developing resources, harmonizing, and standardizing practices across all teams within the Main Salary Insurance and Disability Management Division. The team is currently engaged in a major transformation aimed at simplifying and optimizing our processes to modernize and ensure that doing business with Desjardins is simple, modern, and human. The coming years will therefore be filled with enriching and positive changes for our teams, as well as for our members, clients, and partners. More specifically, you will be required to:
Ensure quality customer service at unit costs that are comparable to or better than industry standards by rigorously controlling benefit costs, in order to make the group disability insurance experience profitable while maintaining processing time standards
Lead disability insurance claims activities for policyholders with total and permanent disability and provide distinctive service to clients
Identify issues and find innovative solutions aimed at continuous improvement with a focus on controlling unit costs
Maintain staffing levels through engaging management, develop and sustain interpersonal skills to adapt to various organizational changes, and support succession planning
Implement management and communication practices that support change management, talent attraction, and retention
Stay attuned to market trends and collaborate with the team to improve business processes
Ensure alignment with other DP teams across all sites, considering the entire sector to advance best-in-class processes
Support the immediate supervisor through contributions related to work organization and operational planning of unit activities

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of six years of relevant experience including management experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Knowledge of French is required
Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
