UX Designer

About the Position

As a UX designer, you will be part of the digital products organisation, collaborating with team members across various European countries. You will report to the UX team leader. You will be working on the digital learning platform “Kampus”, which is designed for Secondary Education and currently used in Finland, Sweden, and Belgium. Kampus offers a wide range of tools and learning materials to both teachers and students, supporting an optimal blended learning workflow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in discovery and problem-solving activities, organising workshops and using conceptual thinking to develop innovative solutions
  • Design user flows, interfaces, and information architecture for web-based digital products
  • Lead the design and prototyping process, creating both low and high fidelity prototypes to visualize and test concepts based on our design system
  • Manage and communicate with stakeholders, presenting your work convincingly to ensure alignment and understanding
  • Work collaboratively with UX designers, user researchers, product managers, developers and others to achieve project goals and foster a supportive team environment
  • Coordinate with global teams and stakeholders, leveraging international experience to enhance project outcomes

Formal Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in user experience (UX) and user-centric design
  • Experience in running ideation sessions, identifying user needs, and collaborating with researchers
  • Experience in creating comprehensive product designs with a focus on scalability and the bigger picture
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills in English
  • Fluency in the local language of the country where the vacancy is available
    • Fluency in both Dutch and French is a strong merit if placed in Belgium
  • It is highly advantageous if you have:
    • Experience with web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG)
    • Working knowledge in Figma, Miro, Confluence, and an interest in AI-powered design tools

  • Strong skills in developing and communicating concepts, from rough sketches to polished prototypes
  • Ability to work with ambiguity, creating clarity in complex contexts
  • Strong collaboration skills, working seamlessly with UX designers, user researchers, developers, product managers and other stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, able to lead workshops and explain abstract ideas, but also to actively listen to capture end-user needs
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

  • Preferably close to any of our offices in Helsinki (Finland), Stockholm (Sweden), Antwerp (Belgium), Warsaw (Poland)or Madrid (Spain)
  • Could also be more remote, but would require occasional travelling
