Role Description

We are now hiring a Regulatory and Tax reporting SME (Subject matter expert) to join our enthusiastic team, in our office in Madrid.
Specific Role Responsibilities
Operations tasks
Oversight regulatory & tax changes to support change requirements working closely with delivery teams to ensure correct impact analysis is performed, approved and implementation is delivered within the platform for domestic clients.
Improving the efficiency and effective use of technology to optimise client's regulatory compliance and reporting processes. Drive forward ideas from the team to improve the existing operating process in relation to tax process handling.
Responsible for supporting Tax submissions deliveries within the platform and clients as financial institutions, including Local Tax Regulators and international regulators: AEAT, QI, Bank of Spain, CNMV,….Tax reclaims and Client annual tax reports.
SME; Be a process expert within the team to support and handle complex tax operational issues and deliver resolution with close support of internal functions as compliance and external vendors experts, ie: capital gains tax rules for transactions and type of clients.
Review any project documentation to assess impact to team, review procedures periodically to ensure completeness and accuracy to current process.
Experience and strong understanding of European Regulations to support clients reporting ie Mifid II (Transaction Reporting) and EMIR.
Delivery tasks:
Identify and analyse the regulatory and tax reports for the Spanish Authorities.
Work with clients to understand the requirements and act as a bridge between clients and FNZ developers.
Functional mapping of the data required in the reports with internal database.
Create the user stories that the developers should use to build the reports.
Test the reports.
Support Clients with testing and to understand the process.
Experience required
Required Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of the Spanish regulatory reports and tax clients reports.
Knowledge of Spanish taxation for end clients.
Knowledge of international reporting regulation ie. FATCA, CRS.
Analytical skills.
Experience supporting projects.
Experience working in/for financial entities (banks or wealth managers) or consulting companies working for the banking sector.
Experience in Operations departments supporting the regulatory requirements.
Ability and experience dealing with institutional clients.
Spanish as native language to understand the nuances of the regulatory requirements and the legal Spanish documents.
English fluent.
