Sales Representative & Product Developer, High Density Crops

Enza Zaden USA is looking for a highly motivated sales professional to join our team in the California Coast and Arizona Desert South West.

As a Sales Representative and Product Developer, you maximize sales and profit with the existing Spinach/Baby Leaf Lettuce/Arugula portfolio in the Western USA.

You will support the decision-making process and the successful introduction of new varieties.
Responsible for the budget, forecast, and pricing within the assigned group of customers and area of responsibility.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of business relationships with customers.
You provide reliable technical advice to customers to have our varieties successfully grown.
You identify new promising experimental varieties from local screening and global Breeding.
Support the introduction of new Enza Zaden varieties with technical support and clear positioning towards customers.
You will Collaborate with and mentor junior members of the sales and product development team by participating in customer visits when appropriate and supporting the onboarding and training of less experienced team members within the assigned crop portfolio.
You independently prepare sales presentations, contracts, and proposals to ensure the successful outcome of transactions.
You are an influential team member, who contributes to forming a positive work environment.
Other duties as required.

As a Sales Representative and Product Developer, you possess a solid understanding of industry dynamics. You stay informed about market developments and trends. You are proactive, able to identify opportunities, and approach your work in an organized manner. Your strong communication and leadership skills enable you to foster strong relationships with colleagues. You are a natural communicator and connector, capable of working independently as well as collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.

Minimum of bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Agriculture, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with a vegetable grower network.
Excellent sales skills (gains trust, establishes a business objective, identifies customer needs, explores solutions, develops action plans, and overcomes objections through negotiation).
Professional, assertive, with clear communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong skills in planning and organization, influencing/persuading and you have strong management skills.
Travel across the California coast and Arizona Desert South West (40%).
Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Compensation & Benefits:

The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the pay range and benefits for the position posted. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, and other objective job-related factors.

Estimated salary pay range $92,000 - $112,000.
