SUMMARY

As the Marine, Cargo & Logistics (MCL) Leader for the Middle East, you will be instrumental in establishing and executing strategic initiatives to achieve our business objectives.  You will lead a client-focused Marine team dedicated to understanding our clients’ needs and the dynamics of the Marine industry, while delivering exceptional analytics and services.  Your role will involve driving accelerated growth through collaboration with Advisory, Specialty, Industry, Segment, and country CEO’s.

You will have accountability for driving innovation, thought leadership and the development and implementation of Marsh’ MCL strategic imperatives.  We will look to you to cultivate a proactive and collaborative growth culture that encompasses all practices, specialties and segments within the organisation.

We will count on you to:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement business plans that align with client needs and industry trends, leveraging Marsh McLennan resources to create differentiated value.
  • Present innovative insurance products and tailored solutions to secure new clients and projects.
  • Independently oversee and manage large and complex MCL accounts by coordinating with cross-functional teams to formulate effective procedures and go-to-market strategies.
  • Build business plans that push boundaries and capitalize on growth opportunities by integrating MCL expertise across the Marine practice.
  • Institutionalize clients and deliver the full breadth of MMC resources to create differentiated value.
  • Drive strategies to meet established financial targets and metrics by identifying the need for a particular solution, best mix of business, staffing and investments.
  • Establish operational and financial objectives to drive business growth and contribute to the company's overall budget and performance.
  • Cultivate a client-focused, entrepreneurial culture that delivers value consistent with MMC ethical values.
  • Lead, motivate, appraise, and develop staff as part of a comprehensive people strategy to optimize individual and collective performance.
  • Contribute to the development of Marsh's vision and strategy to transform the MCL business in line with its strategic plan.
  • Serve as a thought leader within the company, maintaining an in-depth understanding of evolving risks and insurance market conditions specific to the aviation and aerospace industries.

Financial:

  • Full accountability for setting and achieving client service revenue budget, including client retention and new and expanded business targets.
  • Full responsibility for the delivery of financial commentary and variances reports and other financial information required within deadlines.
  • Full responsibility for providing the necessary new business support and cross sell.
  • Responsible for Sales and MPower discipline to ensure accuracy in forecasting.

Organisational:

  • Continuously developing MCL team’s knowledge by increasing interactions and product training with insurers: commercial and risk underwriting and claims.
  • Participate in IMEA EXCO leadership meetings to represent MCL practice for monthly/ quarterly forecasting, budgeting exercise and other strategic projects.
  • Lead MCL practice monthly team meetings, quarterly forecasting, budgeting exercise and other strategic projects.

Operational:

  • Identify and mitigate key inherent risks to Marsh’s objectives and regulatory risks, at the country and business unit level.
  • Full responsibility for driving operational efficiencies, including the implementation of improved internal processes and systems; manage NOC’s and minimize E&O’s.

Growth Initiatives:

  • Foster a growth-oriented culture by utilizing financial data and sales metrics to enhance coaching and performance.
  • Collaborate with other Marsh McLennan business units to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients and prospects.

Client Engagement:

  • Actively contribute to new business wins by partnering with Producers or Client Executives through the sales process.
  • Promote a client-focused culture that consistently exceeds client service expectations.  Continuously improve our client service value proposition.
  • Utilize the full Marsh McLennan enterprise to meet the needs of the client, create value and deliver results.
  • Remain current on changing global and economic factors that influence clients’ risk profiles.
  • Leverage Global and Retail network Marine capabilities.
  • Ensure team placements maintain compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong market relationships.

Talent Development:
