Position Overview

RecruitGo is seeking seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Payable Officer to oversee and drive a high-performance culture within the Accounts Payable team. This role is critical in ensuring service excellence, timely payments, accurate reporting, and continuous improvement of processes that support our global entities, including operations in the US, Europe, and Australia.

Responsibilities: 

Customer & Service Management (30%)

  • Act as the main contact for internal and external stakeholders for all A/P-related matters.
  • Maintain and improve A/P customer service standards.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate payment processing across multiple regions.
  • Build effective working relationships across business units.

Business Performance (40%)

  • Oversee end-to-end A/P operations including payments, credit card maintenance, and creditors ledger.
  • Ensure accurate supplier payments and data integrity.
  • Develop and maintain reports of outstanding invoices and collaborate across departments for resolution.
  • Support the development and implementation of AP policies and procedures.
  • Provide timely, high-quality financial data and reporting to support decision-making.
     

Reporting & Analysis (15%)

  • Support monthly financial reporting and provide key metrics (e.g., DPO, aged creditor analysis).
  • Ensure clear, accurate reconciliation of A/P GL accounts.
     

Process Improvement (5%)

  • Recommend and implement process improvements for enhanced efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.
     

Expense Reconciliation & Credit Card Management (10%)

  • Oversee monthly credit card transaction reporting and reconciliation.
     
  • Ensure compliance in expense reporting, including GST checks and correct coding in accounting systems.
 
Requirements:

Must-Haves:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting or Accounts Payable
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Preferred:

  • CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification (not required but advantageous)
  • Experience with Australian accounting standards or working with Australian clients
