We have an immediate opening for a Senior Manager of Brand Communications, responsible for driving internal and external communications initiatives for our go-to-market brands (Progress Lighting and Kichler) as well as our parent company, Coleto Brands. As a key member of the brand marketing team, you will develop integrated marketing plans across a range of media platforms, closely collaborating with cross-functional colleagues to help drive business growth. You will also play a critical role advising and supporting leadership across a range of internal, external and stakeholder communication needs. 


The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for brand building across traditional and digital media platforms. You will work closely with internal colleagues and external agency partners to develop brand marketing plans and tactically implement initiatives that elevate the Kichler and Progress Lighting brands among their target audiences while also supporting business needs. You will keep a pulse on marketing, industry, consumer and cultural trends to identify relevant opportunities for on-going brand growth. As a team lead, you will also play a key role in developing and mentoring direct reports, as well as junior colleagues across the team. You will be responsible for developing and monitoring key performance indicators as well as providing periodic updates to senior management, therefore a strong business acumen will be a critical success factor. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Craft and execute compelling integrated brand communication plans to grow brand awareness and advocacy for both Kichler and Progress Lighting brands across a wide range of media platforms, including public relations, social media, product placement, influencer engagement, content development and paid media to support each brand’s strategic initiatives.
  • Lead internal team and agency partners to implement and optimize brand communication initiatives to efficiently drive brand growth.
  • Closely collaborate with team members, cross-functional colleagues and external partners to ensure a distinct, consistent brand experience for each brand across key touchpoints in accordance with brand strategy.
  • Develop, socialize and maintain crisis communication plans, leading execution when necessary
  • Advise senior leadership on internal, external and stakeholder communication needs
  • Write and edit content for a wide range of internal and external communication materials, including company emails, press releases, social media posts, executive interviews and articles
  • Operate as a brand steward, ensuring distinct brand experiences for both Kichler and Progress Lighting brands across communications materials, while optimizing operational efficiencies
  • Support corporate branding initiatives, working closely with cross-functional colleagues to ensure a consistent corporate presence across internal and external touchpoints
  • Foster strong, long-term relationships with media, influencers and branded content producers
  • Identify trends and cultural insights relevant to our target audiences to develop compelling campaigns and content that connect with our customers, consumers and prospects
  • Establish and monitor brand communication KPIs, with regular updates to executive leadership



Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 7+ years relevant brand communication experience across traditional and digital platforms
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated brand communication plans across traditional and digital channels that drive brand and business growth
  • Demonstrated experience guiding internal communication initiatives to inform, align and engage employees with company goals and initiatives
  • Exceptional communication skills: written, verbal and live on camera or in front of audiences
  • A strong business acumen and the ability to align brand success with business performance
  • Blend of strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to pull insights from data to effectively guide recommendations
  • Strong track record of leading, motivating and influencing cross-functional teams, including external agencies, internal colleagues and direct reports
  • Solutions-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset, able to seamlessly flow between high-level strategy and hands-on execution
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Budget development and management experience required
  • Proficient with MS Office applications, social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr, SproutSocial) and digital content/reporting platforms (Bazaarvoice, Google Analytics)
  • Travel requirements: 15% domestic travel
