A creative writing company based in Europe, dedicated to helping writers complete their books through workbooks, courses, and retreats, is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented WIX and META Marketing Manager. This remote position offers 5 to 10 hours per week and is perfect for someone passionate about the arts and eager to support a growing business.
This role requires a hands-on individual to manage day-to-day marketing and operational tasks, enabling the company's founder to focus on strategic growth and novel writing.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media
The manager will be responsible for creating 6 posts and 6 stories per week across Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok for 2 accounts. This includes ensuring proper sizing and platform-specific captions. Most post formats will utilise provided templates, requiring adaptation of copy and imagery. Active engagement is key, with 10-15 minutes of engagement three times per week per platform per account. The role also involves setting up and running paid social advertisements, including retargeting ads, and conducting competitive analysis for inspiration. The manager will develop and regularly review social media strategies for Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok, alongside editing b-roll footage for reels and repurposing video content. Responsibilities extend to lead management and community management for Facebook and Instagram channels.
Website Maintenance
The successful candidate will manage both company websites on Wix, adding and updating pages for courses, events, workbooks, and editorial services. Key tasks include SEO audits and improvements with a goal to rank on the first page of Google for "writing retreats in Italy." They will identify and correct branding or content errors, write two blog posts per month, and upload blog posts from other writers. Maintaining a calendar of offerings (6 courses/year, 5 workbooks, 2-3 events/month starting in fall) and preparing for a 2026 membership launch are also critical.
Email Marketing
This involves building and automating welcome sequences and behaviour-based flows within Wix Email Marketing. The manager will schedule 2-4 marketing emails per month using provided templates and compile and send a monthly newsletter, using an intro and curating writing events, submission calls, and publishing news.
Analytics
The manager will build Google Analytics (GA4) dashboards, report traffic by channel and campaign, and create monthly performance reports for social media and email, leveraging third-party tools as preferred. They will also provide actionable suggestions based on analytics, performance, engagement, and sales data.
Other Duties
Additional duties include pitching podcasts, radio, and media features, performing light graphic design (Canva preferred), assisting with coordinating launches or collaborations, and identifying potential collaborators across social, email, and in-person channels.
