Our Real Estate Tax group covers work in the real estate industry assisting our clients with solving difficult commercial and tax problems. Our client base includes listed and unlisted real estate entities, Australian superannuation funds, foreign pension funds, hedge funds, private equity funds, Australian and foreign fund managers and Australian asset operators.

We deliver effective solutions blending technical skills and strategy to advise top ASX organisations, not-for-profit companies and private clients with spectacular results. And we’re looking for tax professionals to take our team to the next level, as we manage a prestigious portfolio of real estate related clients, assisting them to solve complex commercial and tax challenges within our vast community of solvers.

We work from anywhere, so your strong communication skills and team leadership abilities will get a workout. As a member of the Real Estate Tax Team, you’ll make a real impact in a workplace that’s human-led and tech-enabled.

As an expert in Australian Tax , focusing on taxpayers within real estate industry you’ll lead a team to deliver complex solutions to our clients.

You’ll also use your Professional Tertiary Qualification/Degree and experience to:

  • Develop investment structures for our clients, with a particular focus on inbound investment structures, taxation of trusts and Managed Investment Trusts (MITs)

  • Work closely with our wider Financial Advisory business (including our Deals, Tax (stamp duty, transfer pricing and GST), Legal, and Private Clients teams) to support real estate projects

  • Assist clients with Merger and Acquisition (M&A) activities, including tax structuring and tax due diligence services 

  • Research and analyse technical tax issues and preparation of tax reports 

  • Assist clients with their tax compliance, including preparing and/or reviewing of trust and company tax returns

  • Work with the Australian Tax Office (ATO) to obtain rulings for clients, and make submissions to Treasury on policy matters 

  • Support with business development initiatives and proposals

  • Prepare for and attending meetings with clients

  • Lead and develop teams, including mentoring and coaching to junior team members
