Job Description:

Technical Java Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership:

• Lead a team of Java developers, fostering collaboration, teamwork, and innovation.
• Set clear objectives and provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

2. Project Management:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to plan and execute healthcare software development projects.
• Define project scope, objectives, and requirements, ensuring alignment with healthcare standards and best practices.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments to ensure timely and successful completion.

3. Technical Expertise:

• Apply your strong Java development skills and expertise to guide the team in best practices and design patterns.
• Oversee the adherence to coding standards and maintain code quality.
• Resolve complex technical challenges and provide guidance to the team.

4. US Healthcare Expertise:

• Utilize your deep knowledge of US healthcare regulations, standards, and industry trends.
• Ensure that all software solutions are compliant with healthcare-related requirements.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and implement healthcare-specific features.

5. Quality Assurance:

• Implement and oversee quality assurance processes and strategies to maintain high software quality.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and ensure defect resolution.

6. Team Management:

• Manage team performance, including workload allocation and performance evaluations.
• Identify training and development needs, providing coaching and support to team members.

7. Communication:

• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including project sponsors, business users, and technical teams.
• Provide regular status updates, progress reports, and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 12+ years in Java software development, with a focus on healthcare service delivery.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Profound knowledge of US healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and industry standards.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Healthcare-related certifications (e.g., PAHM,FAHM or relevant certifications) are a plus.
