Wine Educator

We’re looking for a dynamic, guest-centric, part-time Wine Educator to bring our brand to life and create personalized, unforgettable experiences for every guest. This role is designed to deepen customer relationships and drive sales, while sharing the unique story of St. Francis Winery. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position, working two to four days per week depending on the season with a schedule that includes Saturdays, Sundays, and occasional evenings as needed. This position offers incumbents the opportunity to engage with guests during our peak hours.

The anticipated pay range for this position is between $19.00 and $23.00 per hour plus tips and commissions.

What You’ll Do:

• Create Exceptional Experiences: Be the face of St. Francis Winery, hosting guests in various tasting experiences—from the tasting bar to indoor and      outdoor seated experiences and pairings, to guided Trolley Tours and high      touch Member engagement. Every guest interaction is an opportunity to craft a bespoke experience that exceeds expectations and builds brand loyalty.  
• Sell with Passion: Leverage your wine knowledge to upsell wine club memberships, exclusive releases, and wine purchases, meeting and exceeding daily and monthly sales goals while creating a sense of community with guests and your team.
• Share the Story: Tell the rich history of St. Francis Winery, educating guests about our wines, winemaking techniques, and the unique characteristics of the appellations of Sonoma County. Create engaging, interactive experiences that allow guests to connect with our winery story.
• Provide Knowledgeable Service: From offering customized wine pairings to conducting expert-guided tours, share your expertise and deliver experiences that reflect the growing trend of personalization in hospitality. Provide hands-on education about our commitment to sustainable winemaking and eco-conscious practices.
• Maintain Operational Excellence: Process sales efficiently using contactless payment technology, keep tasting areas organized and inviting, and ensure smooth operations across the board. Participate in special events and seasonal experiences, creating memorable moments that enhance guest engagement and retention.
• Be  an Ambassador: Represent St. Francis Winery at both onsite and offsite events, fostering a culture of luxury service, local partnerships, and collaborative experiences. Work with influencers and community leaders to co-create memorable, cross-brand experiences that elevate both our and our partners' brands.

• You have at least 1 year of experience in high-end hospitality or sales, you are familiar with personalized service and understand the meaning of a “Hospitality Heart”. 
• You’re a proactive, self-motivated team player, available to work weekends and occasional evening shifts, ensuring we deliver the elevated, seamless experiences our guests expect, while meeting the ever-evolving, guest-driven demands of our business. 
• You’re passionate about sustainability and eco-tourism in the wine industry and are excited to share this knowledge with guests.
• You excel at creating engaging, authentic connections and enjoy delivering service that aligns with modern expectations of luxury and experience-focused service.
• You thrive in a dynamic, technology-driven environment, using mobile tools and other innovations to provide seamless and memorable guest interactions.
