Job Title: Production Supervisor

Location: Trichy

Employment Type: Full-Time (Shift-based)

Reports To: Production / Operations Manager

Position Summary

The Production Supervisor leads a shop-floor team to achieve daily output, quality, and safety targets. Acting as the first-line leader, you will plan resources, monitor KPIs, coach operators, and drive continuous-improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma) to maximise productivity while ensuring strict compliance with EHS and ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, and cross-train operators and technicians.

• Set clear performance goals, conduct toolbox talks, and administer disciplinary actions when necessary.

• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork.

• Convert the master production schedule into hourly/daily line plans.

• Allocate manpower, machines, and materials to meet takt time while minimising downtime.

• Update visual boards (SQDC, Andon) and escalate bottlenecks.

Technical & Soft Skills

Proficient in ERP/MES (SAP, Oracle, or similar) for work orders and inventory tracking.
5S, Kaizen, SMED, TPM, value-stream mapping.
SPC, FMEA, 8D, root-cause analysis, control plans.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and troubleshoot basic machine issues.
Comfortable analysing OEE, capacity loading, and cost-of-quality metrics in Excel or Power BI.
Strong coaching, conflict-resolution, and motivation abilities for a multi-shift workforce.
Clear verbal/written English; local language proficiency is an asset.
