About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, cutting edge Art Director who will push our creative team to a new level. We are looking for a leader who has experience with ideation and the pitch process, along with creating presentations and assets for social and traditional advertising, with a strong passion for music, entertainment, and pop culture. As a member of the Creative team, you will work with the entire staff, including Accounts, Social, PR, and Business Development, as well as execute project-based creative strategies for clients. The ideal candidate must have a fast turnaround on projects and be able to excel under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Creative conception and ideation usually involving collaboration with other team members
  • Participating in brainstorm meetings
  • Participating in client meetings and actively capturing creative needs from client requests
  • Tracking & Recording any verbal requests from clients for creative production as assigned
  • Manage and contribute to the design of pitch decks, social media assets, and other forms of creative assets assigned
  • Work cross-departmentally with creatives and the social team to oversee the creative production of assets
  • Assist with the creative execution of various marketing campaigns
  • Help mentor junior art directors
  • Oversee creative shoots for various productions such as broadcast, social content capture, and other forms of digital content
  • Partner with Accounts team member to ensure on time delivery of creative assets
  • Organize and manage creative product in collaboration with Project Managers as assigned
  • Track and report weekly hours work by assignment to ensure the management of the assigned hours for any given project are managed properly. 

 

About You

The essentials:

  • Must be a bright, articulate, self-starter who can take initiative and bring new ideas to the table
  • Must be able to provide creative direction to a team of graphic designers, motion designers, and video editors
  • Must have a strong art direction background in either graphic or motion design
  • Professional, efficient, organized, detail-oriented, have excellent follow-through and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Have the ability to work independently and collaboratively and to successfully manage concurrent and competing projects
  • Strong ability to receive and assess constructive feedback and adjust designs appropriately
  • Adhere to a high level of confidentiality
  • 3-5 years of agency experience focused on brands and entertainment-based clients
  • Dependable, self-motivated and flexible with the ability to work under tight deadlines in a collaborative workplace.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively in a group, while able to provide thoughtful solutions and contribute to the creative direction
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Online portfolio including demo reel that displays examples of work
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and/or After Effects
  • Must know Google Suite, especially Google Slides
  • AI tools

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
