Who are we hiring?

Sphere Entertainment Co. is seeking a Post Production Coordinator to support the BigSky Lab and Dailies operations within the Sphere Studios Post Production team. This role requires strong organizational, scheduling, and communication skills, and will focus on coordinating complex workflows across traditional and emerging technologies—including our proprietary BigSky camera system.

Reporting to the Post Production Department Manager, this Coordinator will act as a key logistical and operational bridge between departments, ensuring that all post processes—from live-action shoot ingest to final delivery—are running smoothly. You will help deliver content that pushes creative and technical boundaries, supporting everything from marquee attractions and immersive shows to residencies and branded events.

What will you do?

  • Coordinate post production schedules and support delivery workflows across BigSky Lab and Dailies.
  • Work with department leads and producers to create bids, schedules, and external vendor RFPs as needed.
  • Coordinate and manage scheduling of post-production resources—including editors, finishing suites, and lab services—while handling overflow and arranging supplemental support to meet evolving project needs and deadlines
  • Maintain and track tasks using project management tools such as ShotGrid, Airtable, Jira, and SharePoint.
  • Support daily lab operations, review sessions, and cross-departmental communication.
  • Take and publish meeting notes; ensure shared drives, trackers, and documents are consistently updated.
  • Assist Technical Directors by running simple Python scripts via command line or Visual Studio Code (training can be provided).
  • Manage status and metadata of assets and plates in collaboration with post teams and BigSky operators.
  • Plan daily and weekly workflows in alignment with production and VFX leadership.
  • Monitor technical progress and delivery deadlines, escalating risks or issues to internal teams and/or external partners in a timely and proactive manner.
  • Coordinate asset delivery, package submission, and archival of completed projects.
  • Facilitate screenings, uploads, and review prep with internal stakeholders.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a post house or studio supporting live action, animation, episodic, film, immersive media, or VFX, ideally with credits on IMDb.
  • Highly organized with strong scheduling, coordination, and task management skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the post-production process from dailies through final delivery, including familiarity with lab workflows and camera media pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with tracking and project management tools such as ShotGrid, Flow, Moxion, Airtable, and Jira.
  • Technical post-production knowledge is a plus (e.g., Nuke, Premiere, Resolve, Fusion, C4D, Maya, After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite), along with an understanding of industry-standard formats, naming conventions, and delivery protocols.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Excel, Outlook Calendar, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Familiarity with both scripted and unscripted production workflows.
  • Basic understanding of production budgeting, accounting, and scheduling, including live event or physical production workflows.
  • Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and provide accurate, timely project updates.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a developing ability to interact with clients and creative partners (with support from a Producer).
  • Tireless attention to detail and follow-through; self-starter with a growth mindset and eagerness to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Capable of working autonomously with good judgment on when to escalate or ask for support.
  • A calm, solution-oriented approach with the ability to manage urgency and shifting priorities.
  • Behavior consistent with Sphere/MSG values and studio culture.
