- Support trade booking, performance reporting, reconciling profit and loss figures, and preparing investment presentations.
- Conduct quantitative investment analysis and portfolio construction across government and agency MBS markets, including scenario testing, curve and spread modeling, and prepayment analysis.
- Analyze yield curve dynamics, and agency MBS TBA/Specified pools, track macroeconomic indicators, and assess relative value opportunities across rates markets.
- Develop and enhance Python-based automation for data analysis, portfolio monitoring, and trade execution insights, integrating Bloomberg API for real-time market tracking.
- Monitor daily portfolio risk metrics, ensuring accurate reconciliation of market movements with portfolio strategy and performance.
- Attend meetings with investment bank economists and strategists to gather insights, analyze market trends, and contribute to investment discussions.
About You
A quantitatively inclined, self-motivated individual with a strong focus on building a career in fixed income trading and portfolio management, you have a solid understanding of financial markets, macroeconomic trends, and government spread products, including mortgage-backed securities (MBS). You are skilled in data analysis, solving complex investment problems, and contributing to high-performance teams.
You are proactive, organized, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, market-driven environment. Team-oriented, you have ability to interact effectively across functions and seniority levels. Your strong written and verbal communication skills enable you to explain data-driven insights to broader audience with ease.
Additional key skills and competencies you will need:
