Bayview Physicians Services | Full-Time | $30–$34/hour (Based on Experience)

Location: Hampton Roads, Virginia (Multiple Urgent Care Centers)
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $30–$34/hour, commensurate with experience

Position Summary

The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for performing radiologic procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. The technologist ensures the highest level of patient care and safety while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all diagnostic radiologic procedures as ordered by physicians.

  • Ensure patient safety by following appropriate radiation protection protocols.

  • Maintain and clean equipment after each use.

  • Keep exam rooms fully stocked and organized.

  • Schedule imaging appointments and provide pre-procedure instructions to patients.

  • Obtain prior imaging studies (e.g., mammograms) from external facilities for comparison.

  • Document procedures accurately and completely.

  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients or staff with inquiries.

  • Participate in quality assurance activities and compliance training.

  • Maintain up-to-date CPR certification and continuing education.

  • Demonstrate punctuality and maintain regular, reliable attendance.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or physicians.


Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

  • Current Virginia Radiologic Technologist license.

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred.

  • CPR certification required.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
