Bayview Physicians Group is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated EMT-Intermediate (EMT-I), EMT-Advanced (EMT-A), or Paramedic (EMT-P) to join our Urgent Care team. Under the supervision and medical direction of the Urgent Care Physician, the EMT/Paramedic plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Assist urgent care providers with both invasive and non-invasive clinical procedures, including but not limited to:
Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
Intravenous (IV) insertions
Phlebotomy
Deliver age-appropriate care by demonstrating knowledge of human growth and development across the life span.
Collect and interpret patient data to support clinical assessment and decision-making.
Ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures while maintaining a safe, supportive patient environment.
Collaborate effectively with the care team to enhance the patient experience and outcomes.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Successful completion of an approved Paramedic or EMT-I training course. Equivalent military medical training and experience may be considered.
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of field experience preferred, but not required.
Licensure/Certifications:
Current certification as a Virginia or National Registry EMT-I, EMT-A, or EMT-P required.
Current CPR certification required.
Relevant military medical experience (e.g., corpsman or medical technician) may be accepted in lieu of EMT certification.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
