About the role:

As an Insight Analyst in the Analytics team, you will be responsible for helping the business to elevate the end-to-end pipeline from data analysis to decision-making. Leveraging large and complex data sets, you will be key in articulating the opportunities by building insightful outcomes to drive improved performance, leading to insights and recommendations for growth.

You will have broad technical skills to support the curation of analysis, leveraging databases and the ability to build reporting and to tell the story using data.

This is a hybrid role (2 days in the office per week) that can be done from Brisbane or Melbourne.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Typical activities may include partnering with analytics leaders and key areas of the business to ensure there is clarity on current performance, and stakeholders have all the information and tools at hand to make decisions which includes; reporting and any analysis on opportunities.
  • Work closely with senior analysts and the analytics manager to support strategic initiatives to drive growth.
  • Assist in driving knowledge uplift across various key areas of the organisation and work with the wider team on insights to allow augmentation to reporting and self-service solutions.
  • Partner with analytics engineers to ensure the availability and accuracy of data to ensure teams can make informed decisions based on real data.
  • Demonstrates a focus on continual self-improvement across both the technical and business aspects of delivering high-quality data enrichment solutions
  • Provide support to data quality and data validation through analysis of data and assisting in understanding the meaning of data
  • Help drive continuous improvements to data quality procedures and a consistent approach to how data quality is measured, monitored and reported.

 

To succeed in this role you will bring with you:

  • At least two years experience working in a high-performing analytics team supporting a dynamic organisation to foster growth.
  • Minimum bachelor's degree qualification in finance, technology or quantitative discipline
  • Proven experience with Cloud-based Technologies and Databases, with GCP experience advantageous. Strong experience in SQL
  • Strong data and technical background demonstrating innovation, initiative and a passion for data
  • Confidence in collecting, collating and interpreting business requirements to produce quality outcomes
  • Experience working with stakeholders to gather data requirements and provide solutions
