Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Department: Engineering / Projects / Maintenance (depending on org structure)
Location: Trichy
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

The Mechanical Engineer will design, develop, and maintain mechanical systems, equipment, and processes that support the organization’s production, quality, and cost objectives. The role demands strong analytical skills, hands-on problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement in safety, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities


• Create 2D/3D models, detailed drawings, and BOMs using CAD tools (SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Inventor).
• Perform FEA / CFD simulations to validate designs for strength, thermal load, and manufacturability.
• Generate technical specifications for new machinery, tooling, and fixtures.
• Lead or support end-to-end project lifecycle: concept, cost estimation, scheduling, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and timeline targets.
• Analyze chronic equipment failures, perform root-cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance plans, including spare-parts strategies.
Drive Lean / Six-Sigma initiatives to reduce cycle time, energy usage, and waste.
• Implement kaizen events, value-stream mapping, and OEE tracking to boost productivity.

Essential Qualifications

  • B.E. / B.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) or higher.
  • 3–7 years in mechanical design, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance (adjust as needed).
  • Any of the following is an advantage: Six-Sigma Green Belt, PMP, ASNT NDT Level II, OSHA 30 hrs.

Technical Skills (Must-Have)

  • Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, ANSYS).

  • Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and machining processes.

  • Familiarity with FEA/CFD, fatigue analysis, and material selection.

  • Hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and rotating equipment.

  • Working knowledge of PLC/SCADA interfaces for mechanical systems.

  • Competence in MS Office, MS Project / Primavera for scheduling and reporting.





Salary: 20000 To 30000 Per Month
