Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team in the shipping industry. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of relevant experience and a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance. This role requires working closely with operations and finance teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and journals
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Handle accounts payable and receivable processes
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies
• Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for financial accuracy
• GST, TDS, and other Indian tax regulations

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com) or related field
• Minimum 1 year of accounting experience
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks)
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Indian tax regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
