We are looking for a Principal Systems Engineer to support Digital, Robotics, and Enabling Technology Concept Development. This role will lead the technical integration for research & design of modules, assemblies, or subsystems, often utilizing various software, hardware, and complex system elements. You will apply advanced engineering theories to develop concepts and establish methods to prove concept feasibility. Your responsibilities will include translating user needs into design specifications, producing system/architectural level layouts, and leading the effort to allocate and decompose requirements on multi-disciplinary concepts using modeling, simulation, budgeting, and mathematical techniques. Additionally, you will coordinate analytical studies, lead system architectural activities, and assess new technologies and capabilities to solve novel challenges. By partnering with internal and external stakeholders, you will drive technical strategies that meet clinical needs and enhance the company's performance through innovative solutions.

This role is hybrid with the expectation to be on-site in Weston, FL, 3 days a week.
Lead technical integration for research, design, development, modification and evaluation of modules, assemblies, or subsystems often utilizing various SW, HW, and complex system elements.
Apply advanced engineering theories to develop concepts while establishing methods to prove concept feasibility.
Translate user needs to design specifications and produce system/architectural level layouts and platform designs.
Lead the effort to allocate and decompose requirements on a multi-disciplinary (electrical, mechanical, software) concepts using modeling, simulation, budgeting, and mathematical techniques.
Coordinate a collection of analytical studies, including trade studies, sensitivity studies, optimization studies, performance assessments, design assessments.
Consider cross-functional needs to ensure successful transition of concepts from feasibility to New Product Development process.
Assess new technologies and capabilities (prototyping, testing, et.al.) to solve novel challenges.
Develop and influence invention disclosures and patents while navigating the intellectual landscape.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Bachelor of Science in Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline
8+ years overall work experience
2+ years of work experience in medical device or other highly regulated industry
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in developing electromechanical components and assemblies, with familiarity in system processes related to mechatronics, localization, and/or robotics.
Ability to communicate complex plans and technical information to team members within and across businesses.
Experience in creating test protocols for electro-mechanical systems.
Broad base of experience in implementing design methodologies such as DFM, Reliability, Systems Design.
