Whitley Penn, a leading CPA and Consulting firm, is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will help execute the roadmap for our evolving talent acquisition strategies and initiatives. This critical role will be filled by an experienced, tech-savvy collaborator who utilizes recruiting best practices to meet acquisition and pipeline goals, leverages data-driven insight to influence hiring decisions, and values authentic communication as key to building relationships.

  • Location: Dallas, Plano or Houston
  • Office Expectations/Hours: Hybrid position (3 days a week in office); general work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8 hours/day between 8am to 5pm with overtime, as needed.

How Will You Make an Impact?
  

  • Secure top talent. Use your relationship-building skills, sales acumen, and understanding of Whitley Penn business needs to connect active and passive candidates to career opportunities
  • Provide technical expertise and solutions. Execute recruiting strategy including market penetration, candidate experience, and relationship management, diversity sourcing, interview process management, and offer negotiation
  • Facilitate exceptional candidate experiences. Contribute to departmental success and own individual outcomes associated with creating exceptional candidate experiences
  • Facilitate exceptional hiring manager experiences. Communicate with HR Partners and Hiring Managers to provide recommendations on job description scope, interview best practices, and timelines; devise and execute effective recruiting action plans in alignment with the firm’s Talent strategies, and provide a central source of support
  • Learn, grow and share. Develop a strong understanding of the Elliott Davis business, practices, and competitive landscape. Participate in professional development opportunities to hone your skills, maintain a current understanding of our competitive market, and contribute to the ongoing development of peers
  • Leverage creative engagement strategies to share our story. Use social media, sourcing/network platforms, and referrals to generate and maintain a pipeline of passive and active candidates
  • Maximize your time. Manage and prioritize multiple hard-to-fill talent searches, projects, and internal relationship requests with a high sense of urgency and high level of integrity
  • Utilize technology. Maintain accurate documentation on all candidate searches and hiring managers’ interactions in the approved ATS and sourcing platforms
  • Manage other projects as assigned

How Will You Get Here? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Human Resources, Marketing, Psychology, or related field
  • 3+ years of progressive agency or corporate recruiting experience
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience filling hard-to-fill roles, recruiting high-level talent in a dynamic and competitive market; identification of passive candidates, and experience creating talent pipelines
  • Proficiency in understanding all aspects of the recruitment preparation and implementation process: sourcing, interviewing, relationship management, pipeline building, offer negotiation, job analysis, wage, and salary trends, understanding of relevant labor markets, and knowledge of applicable HR, EEO laws/regulations, and Talent Acquisition best practices
  • Experience developing interview guides and facilitating different types of interviews to include but not limited to competency-based, behavioral, situational, digital, and in-person interviews
  • Proficient in utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed and an ATS for entering requisitions and postings, sourcing, tracking and nurturing candidates, managing manager communication, and maintaining documentation used for reporting
  • Exceptional internal/external communication skills (written and verbal) enhanced by a high level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and transparency
  • Ability to stop, take a breath, have fun, and be a team player
