Customer Care Manager

Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Manages the sales and customer account administration, as well as the monitoring, planning and implementation of projects that support order processing activities. Using knowledge of company products, services and support, oversees sales administration in providing technical, administrative and product information. Acts as liaison to other related functions quoting customer prices. May coordinate field support calls and may calculate sales commissions. May support the sales function through policy setting and administrative support coordination through field sales offices. Directs and coordinates the processing of sales orders. Monitors sales order system to ensure accurate receipt and booking of sales orders. Tracks sales shipment, delivery, billing and backlog activities, providing internal sales reports when necessary. Responds to inquiries regarding status of orders and resolves customer order difficulties. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

MANAGER LEVEL:
First level of management responsible for budgeting, planning, organizing, integrating, coordinating, and controlling the activities of, typically, a department, section, and/or functional area. Work may be accomplished through subordinate supervisors or direct management of employees. Accountable for results in terms of costs, budgets, operational goals, and employees. Possess a comprehensive technical knowledge of the function, business, and/or department being managed, along with developing managerial skills necessary to successfully manage a department. Developing an understanding of overall Brooks’s businesses and the industry. Develops resolutions to diverse and complex problems often requiring creativity. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for arriving at solutions. Decisions usually follow established policy and precedents and apply to issues and problems affecting immediate group. Accountable for achieving the annual goals and objectives assigned to the department or section. Goals may be of financial, product or service, and/or human resources nature. Failure to achieve goals and objectives or erroneous judgments and/or decisions could impact the larger organizational goals. Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years experience in the function or discipline managed, typically including supervisory experience.
