Responsibility: Edit and deliver weekly D2C Diaries podcast episodes and related content for social channels.
Reports to: Content Marketing Executive
Location: Remote
Employment: 3 days per week (Monday,Tuesday and Friday)

About Us:
We’re the team behind D2C Diaries — a fast-growing podcast that dives deep into the world of direct-to-consumer brands. Our show features raw, insightful conversations with some of the sharpest minds in D2C, and we’re committed to producing standout content that reflects the value of our guests, our audience, and the brands we collaborate with.

We’re investing heavily into behind the scenes, not just in production but in the content itself. As part of this investment, we’re looking for a talented Podcast Video Editor to take ownership of the visual output and help elevate the show to the next level. This role is a key part of strengthening our creative workforce and delivering a high-production podcast with expanded capabilities, sharper storytelling, and standout content across all platforms.

The Role:
As our Podcast Video Editor, you’ll be responsible for creating polished, engaging video content for each episode of D2C Diaries across multiple formats. You'll collaborate closely with our content marketing executive to take final podcast recordings and turn them into compelling content for YouTube, Instagram, and other channels.

We're looking for someone who can bring creative flair, attention to detail, and reliability — someone who can not only execute quickly but make smart editing decisions which drive the podcast forward.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Podcast Content Production: We are seeking a skilled content editor to support the production and promotion of our podcast episodes. This role involves light editing of core episodes and the creation of engaging supplementary content across multiple platforms.
  • Full Podcast Episode: Episodes will typically arrive approximately ninety percent edited. The final step involves adding a compelling introduction (such as a cliffhanger), podcast jingle, and any sponsor ad reads.
  • Podcast Trailers: Produce concise, promotional trailers that are approximately thirty to sixty seconds in length for each episode. Timestamps will be provided, but strong storytelling and pacing are essential.
  • Launch Reel Per Episode: Create a featured reel to accompany each episode release. This may be a highlight, teaser, or emotionally impactful moment designed to drive audience interest.
  • Short Social Media Reels: Edit several short-form clips, generally thirty to sixty seconds each, optimized for platforms such as Instagram or TikTok. These clips should include subtitles, clear audio, and minimal motion graphics. Timestamps will be provided.
  • YouTube Snippets: Select and edit longer video segments, typically five to ten minutes  that capture key insights or standout moments from the episode. These will be used to engage audiences on YouTube.
  • Monthly Sponsored Ad Read: Collaborate with our content executive to edit a sponsor message, approximately thirty to sixty seconds in duration, to be included at the beginning or mid-roll of selected episodes.

 Ad-Hoc Projects:

  • Occasional editing support for our agency ad content or internal campaigns.

You’ll Succeed In This Role If You:

  • Are experienced with podcast or interview-style video editing.
  • Have a strong visual style and can create sleek, clean, modern edits.
  • Are comfortable working with timestamps and minimal hand-holding.
  • Understand how to edit for different platforms (YouTube, Instagram, etc.).
  • Are reliable with deadlines and communicate proactively.
  • Have an eye for pacing and storytelling, especially in short-form edits.
  • You have the ability to think outside the box and provide further ideas which can transform the podcast.

Requirements:

Attitude:

  • Take full ownership of both your successes and failures.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and adaptable.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Confident in building long-term relationships.
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Experience & Skills:

  • 3+ years of proven experience in video editing and production, preferably within e-commerce.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; ability to use other video editing tools is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of short-form video best practices.
  • Proficient in applying motion graphics, transitions, captions, and color grading.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken English).
