Brief Description

The Field Liaison builds and maintains relationships as the single point of contact with the field teams for high-volume, key account manufacturers for an assigned territory. Provides SME support for complex patient / provider clinical and reimbursement issues. Represents UBC at manufacturer hosted conferences. Gathers, analyses and reports case trend data for Quarterly Business Reviews and other reports as required by the manufacturer and assigned by the manager. Builds strong relationships with field-based partners. Primary contacts are frequently individuals representing other departments and/or representing the manufacturer; work is in pursuit of or to provide information or data on matters of importance to the caller. 
 

Specific job duties:

  • Formulates processes and interprets reimbursement policies to resolve complex dispensing or referral issues and ensure a positive patient and physician experience.
  • Serves as SME on intricate cases to assigned prescriber offices, manufacturer representatives, health plans, and patients to ensure adequate measures are in place to avoid disruption in drug therapy and identify affordability options for patients.
  • Assists manufacturer field teams in implementation of program launch and ongoing therapy utilization through education and training materials that aid in processing referrals.
  • Provides Program Specific Processes (PSP) support and other special projects to enhance program workflows, reimbursement activities, and on-going utilization.
  • Gathers, analyses, and prepares data, including case trends, for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), FDA requirements, and other special projects and reports.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 6 – 8 years of relevant working experience
  • 0 – 2 years of experience, three years of healthcare experience preferred
  • Demonstrated team lead experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Advanced knowledge of medical insurance terminology
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong team building skills and the ability to train other team members
  • Research, analysis, report preparation and documentation skills
