Job description

This is a remote position.

Overview:

The System Analyst II - EDI is responsible for the following duties at a level of independence that requires problem-solving and critical thinking.

Responsibilities:

Supports EDI and integration operations with current customers and business partners.
On-boards new EDI partners and supports existing EDI implementations and transaction sets.
For assigned projects, works directly with associates (both end users in other functional areas, in-house and 3rd party developers, and other outside business partners) to:

Analyse business programs or processes
Identify and recommend improvements
Develop and document systems requirements

Develops functional and technical systems design specifications for EDI transactions to meet defined needs, following established standards and systems development methodology.
Works directly with associates in other functional areas and ITS team members to evaluate and select application software tools to meet defined needs, using standard software selection methodology.
Develops and maintains (or assists users in the design, development, and maintenance of) forms and user procedures for new or existing systems.
Monitors and tracks the status of all assigned projects and activities, reporting progress to stakeholders as requested.
Develops program specifications, codes, tests, and debugs programs related to EDI transactions and integrations with other business systems (e.g., Oracle EBS, and 3PLs).
Identifies and recommends improvements to data processing standards, systems development, and support procedures.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Familiar with Retail Transactions – 832, 850, 855, 856, 810, and 852 as a starting point.
Relevant experience with ANSI X.12 and EDIFACT standards.
Experience with EDI communications standards and protocols:

AS2
Standard VAN-based EDI
FTP
HTTPS

Experience with at least one EDI software platform.
Degree Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree
Specific Concentration: Computer Science or related field
Experience Level: 3–5 years of direct IT experience and 3+ years of EDI experience.
