How You Will Contribute:
Reporting to Manager, Business Applications as the Supply Chain Planning Architect, you’ll support the comprehensive high-level architecture, functionality, and architecture compliance of solution options for the applications portfolio supporting business processes for supply/demand/inventory planning within Supply chain. Using your understanding of both technical and functional design best practices, you’ll develop capabilities at an initiative level in collaboration with other architects, global and regional teams, and subject matter experts from business units.
- You will develop strategies and operations for discovering, articulating, and demonstrating solutions to deliver on specific service requirements and desired business outcomes, identifying and leading initiatives and programs to scale the organization and its operations for future growth.
- You will provide governance, strategic consultation and recommendations for business process design, business intelligence design, software development architecture, application frameworks or interfaces during the design and ongoing care of solutions.
- You’ll develop processes and metrics and Key Performance Indicators to improve effectiveness and efficiency of technical evaluations, workshops, demos, and proof-of-concept engagements.
- You’ll actively partner with business teams to align on overall strategy and priorities and provide support for specific POCs (proof of concept), initiatives and programs.
- You will build and foster relationships with business and IT leadership to align with and deliver plans, strategies, and annual goals and mentor and develop an exceptional team of Solution Architect & functional domain Architects
- Collaborate with Service & Delivery leads and Project Management teams to improve engagement models and ensure the appropriate coverage of service area and other service areas to ensure efficient and ongoing enablement and development of the team.

The Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s or Masters degree in engineering or related Supply chain disciplines coupled with extensive experience in implementing supply chain solutions in hi-tech industry.
- Knowledge of forecast tuning, inventory optimization, constraint planning, supplier collaboration and global order promising.
- 10+ years of leading Kinaxis RapidResponse/Maestro implementations
- Deep understanding of RR data integration using TALEND or similar ETL tools
- Manage integrations between source systems and Kinaxis RapidResponse
- Kinaxis Author and Integration certification preferred
- Experience of collaborating with multiple cross-cultural teams spread across geographies to gather requirements, make design decisions, and support testing and delivery of initiatives.
- Proven ability in the preparation and delivery of presentations for user, management, and executive - level audiences
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams, including hiring, coaching, and fostering a high-performance culture
Assets:
- Modeling hi-tech businesses for supply planning, with a strong understanding of forecast to plan/plan to schedule /deliver to schedule systems/process.
- Knowledge of Supply Strategies based on segmentation/profiles to drive improvement.
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification(s)
The salary range for this position, in CDN, is $95,500 - $152,500

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.
Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
