This is a great opportunity to join us as a Senior Policy Advisor, providing expert advice to develop, inform and influence government and Agency policy and regulatory settings.

The team is responsible for policy work that involves shaping or influencing important aspects of the land transport revenue and investment system. We are currently supporting the Ministry of Transport with the fleet-wide transition to Road User Charges, reform of tolling legislation, and development of legislation that enables Time of Use schemes.

Our team is part of the System Policy group, and we are responsible for helping to shape NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) positions on transport related regulatory and infrastructure settings. Some current examples of this wider work includes changes to the driver licensing system (including digital driver licences) and infrastructure reforms (including changes involving the Public Works Act).
