General Summary:
The Lead Radiology Tech completes quality imaging on a variety of patients requiring X-Ray’s and/or CT studies and serves in a leadership role within the Radiology Team.
Description of Essential Duties:
· In addition to performing all items in the Radiology Tech Job Description, the Lead position will also:
· Perform meaningful growth meeting with RT’s on a routine basis and identify areas of improvement that will result in the meeting or exceeding of organizational quality metric goals.
· Adhere to and positively promote all protocols
· Professionally and expertly represent GEMD during surveys related to the clinical area (DOH, COLA, AHCA, JC, etc.)
· Participation in QA/PI activities
a. Light Alignment Testing
b. Lead Shield Testing
c. Equipment PM’s
d. Other audits as dictated by the FL or VP of Clinical Operations
· Maintenance of all diagnostic imaging equipment (CT scanner, X-Ray unit, US machine, and all their components)
· Maintain quality standards by updating protocols as needed, making recommendations based on current best practices, bringing to the attention of the Facility Leader any unsafe practices, etc.
· Ensure the workflow of the clinical area during the workday, addressing any issues/challenges
· Communicate positively with all team members and patients
· Continuous education and training of team on new or updated processes/equipment
· Actively participate in the hiring and termination of radiology team
· Serve as a strong resource for the staff and support the Facility Leader in their absence
· Utilize organizational specific software to reference old patient records and organizational protocols
· Follow the information security policies and management system, contributing to their effectiveness, and actively reporting on their performance
· Function in a manner that supports the facility in meeting or exceeding goals set forth in the quality metrics (Door to EKG, Troponin TAT, Door to Antibiotic, Etc.)
· Support the Facility Leader (FL) and Lead Rad Tech by being a positive team player
· Completion of daily checklists
· Participate in morning huddles when on shift
· Accurate completion of clinical inventory as assigned
· Participate in facility specific education and training (i.e., OSHA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, ALARA, etc.)
· Timely completion of tasks as assigned by the Facility Leader and VP Clinical Operations

Education: Associates
Experience Years: 2 Years
Experience Type:
· Active State of Florida License
· Active AART Certification
· Must hold an active BLS certification
· Healthcare Leadership/Management experience strongly recommended
· Must successfully pass a Level 2 background screen and drug test
· Must be successfully credentialed within each facility you will be performing shifts
· Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
· Able to perform the duties expected for an active role in a busy medical environment (standing, walking, teaching, public speaking, pulling, pushing, lifting, etc.)
· Able to stand and work up to a 12-hour shift in the facility
· Ability to travel between local facilities (50-mile radius) to cover shifts.
· Legibly write English, clearly speak English, and proficiently read English
· Bilingual Preferred
· Proficiency with Windows based computers and common programs such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and other common forms of electronic communication.
· Great positive communication skills (including the ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English)
· Ability to build relationships with patients and employees and help support a culture of passion and enthusiasm
Certifications/Licenses:
· Active State of Florida License
· Active AART Certification
· Must hold an active BLS certification
