Who we are:
Swat.io is a Software-as-a-Service product that supports marketers in Social Media Publishing and Community Management. We are proud to be an independent, self-financed, product-led company, focused on building a product that users actually love. We follow a self-service-first approach and intentionally avoid aggressive sales tactics, putting user experience and value at the center of everything we do.
Today, our goal is to continue growing sustainably and join the top 1% of SaaS companies with over €10 million in ARR. We want to create a meaningful impact for our customers, team, and company, becoming an integral part of our customers’ daily workflow. Guided by our core values—we add value, we drive progress, we own it, we thrive together — we prioritize quality over quantity. We focus on exceptional talent and a collaborative, supportive culture, believing that revenue follows quality, not the other way around.
At Swat.io, we're a team of 50 people with diverse backgrounds. We focus on staying lean and agile, and we’re looking for makers who thrive in this kind of environment.
Who you are:
You’ll join our Product Team, working alongside another Senior Product Manager and two experienced UX/UI designers, owning and driving our product growth. You’re a strategic thinker with a bias to action, fluent in numbers, and driven by measurable outcomes over shiny features.
You’ve worked on growth topics in subscription-based products before, and know what it takes to move the needle across the full user journey, from acquisition to retention. You constantly monitor KPIs, spot trends, and connect product experience with business performance.
You define your own challenges, run smart, targeted experiments, and thrive when there’s no roadmap, just potential. Whether it’s refining onboarding, improving pricing and packaging, or shaping in-product upgrade paths, you care about real, measurable impact.
You collaborate confidently across teams, communicate your reasoning clearly, and bring strong arguments to the table, while staying open to better ones.
Who you are not:
This isn’t a role for someone early in their product career or looking to move into leadership soon. You won’t be managing a team, and we won’t be creating a title above “Senior Product Manager” any time soon.
If you’re looking for a predefined roadmap, a long list of tasks, or direction handed down from others, this role won’t suit you. You’ll be expected to identify the biggest levers yourself and act on them.
It’s also not the right fit if you’re mostly excited about building big new features. This role is about small, meaningful iterations, refining flows, pricing, packaging, and driving impact where it matters.
We’re not looking for someone who waits for permission or needs others to spark the conversation. You’ll need to lead with insight, bring structure to ambiguity, and take full ownership of the outcomes.
Purpose of the role
Your job is to identify and
unlock our biggest growth opportunities in the Self-Service across conversion, activation, retention, and monetization. You’ll lead initiatives grounded in data and focus on outcomes. You won’t wait for permission or a roadmap; you’ll
define the challenges worth solving and act on them. Our Head of Product will support you with strategic sparring, but you'll
own the Self-Service journey end-to-end.
That will also include:- Constantly monitoring key product KPIs, spotting patterns, and acting fast on what creates impact.
- Reworking and optimizing the Self-Service flows across the full user lifecycle, from signup to upgrade to churn prevention.
- Running small, fast, measurable experiments rather than chasing big feature builds.
- Creating upsell opportunities through pricing, packaging, and product experience.
- Working across a broad product scope, from publisher to inbox and beyond, while dealing with platform limitations and finding the right trade-offs.
- Pairing with designers early on to explore problems and define solid solutions.
- Collaborating closely with skilled and opinionated developers who value thoughtful input, to enable the development of value-adding features.
- Making sure Sales and Marketing have what they need to talk to customers and win them over.
We expect you to:- Take full ownership of product growth challenges, including planning, execution, and outcomes.
- Become the go-to expert on product-led growth within the team. As we’ll keep building new features, your opinion and perspective on how it fits into the offering will matter.
- Make data-informed decisions: Rely on insights, not assumptions, your decisions start with data, and you know what to look for.
- Communicate clearly across teams, with strong reasoning and a bias for action.
- Deliver a measurable product improvement within your first three months.
Are you ready for this?
We define ready as - You have at least 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in the SaaS industry working with subscriptions, pricing, and packaging.
- You have a deep understanding of product growth in a product-led and self-service environment.
- You’re obsessed with data, constantly monitoring KPIs, spotting trends, guiding decisions, and acting quickly to push key metrics upward.
- You understand the full user journey from acquisition to retention, and own improving it end-to-end.
- You thrive working autonomously without needing constant direction and are comfortable making decisions outside strict roadmaps, prioritizing what will make the difference based on business impact.
- You excel at small, iterative improvements rather than building “the next big feature”.
- You understand software development processes and how to work with engineers.
- You think in iterations, breaking big ideas into manageable steps, and are pragmatic about what to build and when, focused on purpose over perfection.
- You bring fresh, user-first ideas and stay curious about new tools, trends, and competitors.
- You have an opinion and aren’t afraid to speak up, but you are also open to being challenged and to better arguments.
- You are experienced in working with different stakeholders and navigating shifting requirements.
- You understand modern product management practices and aren’t afraid to dive into new technologies or unfamiliar problems (think: AI, Social Media platform shifts, unexpected API changes).
- You're fluent in English and confident in communicating your ideas, decisions, and reasoning across teams.
Nice-to-haves: - German language skills
- Technical understanding/technical background
- Experience with social media platforms
