Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Sales Support Strategy: Develops and executes strategies and sales tactics in the following areas: territory planning, pre-request for proposal prospecting, relationship development, pricing, presentation, and delivery as needed.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Create customized proposals and marketing collateral for clients in partnership with the marketing team. Develop familiarity with potential clients to educate internal stakeholders on the market demands and prospect specific needs.
  • Presentations and Demonstrations: Organize and conduct sales presentations, site visits and product demonstrations as needed. Attend Finalist Meetings as needed.
  • Supporting the SGP team in achieving their goals by managing and coordinating aspects of the up-selling process.
  • Track all opportunities in a timely manner via Salesforce.
  • Coordinate sales meetings and conference calls, assist in preparing sales presentations, and provide administrative support to the SGP team.
  • Daily Management of the SGP team inbox, assigning opportunities and providing initial response back on inquiries
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders and respond to their inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist Sales and Marketing with sales presentations and materials preparation.
  • Maintain and update SGP folders on the shared drive.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

BS/BA and 5+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, and 2 years' of SME in respective areas

Computer Skills

Proficiency in MS Office / Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, Smartsheet. Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM software a plus.

Work Location

This position works on-site at the San Diego Headquarters or other company location (or from a remote location with management approval based on business requirements). Must provide adequate support to internal clients; be available for regular interactions and coordination of work with other employees, colleagues, clients, or vendors; as well as be available to facilitate effective decisions through collaboration with stakeholders.

Working Hours

This is an exempt level position requiring the incumbent to work the hours required to fully accomplish job responsibilities and reasonable meet deadlines for work deliverables. The individual must have the flexibility to work beyond traditional hours and be able to work nights, weekends or on holidays as required.  Work hours may be changed from time to time to meet the needs of the business.  Typical core business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

This position requires domestic travel of up to 50% of the time.
