Senior Brand Strategist

INNOCEAN USA, a full-service ad agency located in sunny Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking a full-time Senior Brand Strategist to join our Hyundai team!

 

We are a hybrid workplace, x2 days week in-office. Candidates MUST be local to SoCal.

 

SUMMARY

We’re looking for a curious and driven Senior Brand Strategist to join our team and help shape the future of Hyundai, INNOCEAN’s largest client. In this role, you’ll contribute to the development of bold, insight-driven strategies that fuel creative ideas, connect with audiences, and help move the brand and business forward.

 

You’ll collaborate closely with brand and social strategy directors, creative teams, and account leads to uncover opportunities, craft compelling briefs, and support the development of integrated campaigns. You’ll be responsible for interpreting research, distilling complex information into simple insights, and helping shape communications across all media channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to the development of strategic direction for Hyundai brand and product campaigns.
  • Represent the voice of the consumer by uncovering key insights from qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Support the development of creative briefs that inspire great ideas and work with teams to ensure those ideas stay rooted in strategy.
  • Assist in crafting go-to-market strategies for new vehicle launches and national brand campaigns.
  • Conduct and synthesize research on audience behavior, attitudes, and motivations as well as market trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Help to track brand and campaign performance, deriving key learnings for optimization.
  • Work collaboratively across disciplines, helping to bring strategy to life in ways that are actionable and creatively motivating.
  • Stay plugged into culture, emerging trends, and industry innovations to bring fresh thinking to the team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 4–7 years’ experience in brand strategy at an advertising agency or similar environment.
  • Automotive or large-scale brand experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience in social strategy is also a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with experience distilling insights from a range of research inputs.
  • Comfortable presenting work internally and externally in a clear, compelling way.
  • Strong collaboration skills — able to work closely with creative, media, account, and research teams.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of curiosity and passion for culture, brands, and people.
  • Experience supporting brand or product campaigns across a variety of media channels.

The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $130,000.  Pay is dependent upon several factors including but not limited to client, experience, training and/or transferable skills.
