The Pricing Analyst - Customer Mapping completes and leads analysis to ensure SKU pricing impacts for customers mapped to new markets are properly set up prior to the transition and remain in-line with project plans. They support projects tied to Customer Remapping, M&A, or other customer transition projects where customers are to be served by new or different distribution centers. They align Merchandising, Replenishment, and Sales departments with SKU pricing needs. They collaborate and proactively address pricing and replenishment issues. They proactively collaborate with the Field to oversee customer transitions (start-up & ramp-down) and assortment transitions by providing the local Pricing team with process expertise and help facilitate cross-functional support. After the transition, they monitor pricing and help to diagnose and fix problematic errors until a full handoff to the field is complete.

This position is remote which means the work can be completed from anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Completes analysis of SKU pricing impacts for each customer move.
  • Attends weekly meetings with Replenishment and Merchandising for each project to ensure the project is on-track.
  • Collaborates with Replenishment to validate and proactively addresses pricing opportunities.
  • Monitors KPIs after transitions to ensure handoff to the new Market.
  • Reviews and manages price deviations and exceptions for impacted customers.
  • Answers pricing queries escalated from Sales and other US Foods employees as needed.
  • Partners with Chain Based Selling (CBS) team to ensure proper documentation for Vendor agreements and Agency letters.
  • Analyze and develop pricing recommendations to support field and conduct special pricing reviews for new customer acquisition for the designated DC, in partnership with Strategic Pricing Manager.
  • Identifies costing errors and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Identifies and escalate system setup errors as needed.
  • Monitors and identify opportunities by analyzing and reporting on margin and market pricing.
  • Manages and uploads exceptions for vendor price list from local/regional suppliers. Maintains Customer Pricing Rationale (CPR) back-up for area.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

  • Internal: Network Planning, M&A, Supply Chain Excellence, Field Leaders, and Staff including Pricing Manager; Region Pricing Manager; Area President; AVP of Merchandising and Marketing and area sales team (VP Sales, Sales Manager, DSMs, CSC, and TMs), Merchandising, Replenishment, NSAL, Finance, Category Management, Local Sales, National Sales, Transportation.
  • External: Customers, Vendors.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Remote: This role is fully remote, and the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a home-based environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 years of pricing experience
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Proven experience working with, and supporting, sales teams
  • Proven experience following a project plan
  • Able to access information within established pricing databases and/or analyze data made available from analysts
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and draw linkages with business impact
  • Familiarity with analytics and supply chain planning and buying systems
  • Ability to synthesize key information, present in vendor and customer facing calls to influence key decisions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office i.e., Excel, Word, etc.
  • Up to 10% travel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of the pricing system such as PRIME or NextGen.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related field, or equivalent experience

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds).  The expected base rate for this role is between

$55,000 - $90,000
