Job Description

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to bring order and clarity to our multi-location automotive repair business. This role offers the perfect opportunity to make a real impact by implementing systematic weekly reconciliation processes and helping business owners gain complete visibility into their financial performance. You’ll work with diverse transaction types and multiple revenue streams, making each week engaging and varied. Your expertise will directly contribute to the operational success and growth of hardworking business owners who are focused on expanding their automotive repair operations.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive weekly transaction reviews and reconciliations 
  • Manage complete bookkeeping operations using QuickBooks for multiple auto body shop locations
  • Process and accurately categorize diverse payment types including cash transactions, credit card payments, checks, and insurance company payments
  • Track and reconcile last-minute supply purchases and operational expenses made by shop managers
  • Implement systematic weekly closing procedures to ensure clean financial starts each week
  • Investigate and resolve cash discrepancies between received amounts and bank deposits
  • Organize and streamline financial records for enhanced visibility and reporting
  • Potential opportunity to expand responsibilities to additional shop locations as the business grows
  • May include additional administrative tasks to support overall business operations


Requirements

  • Proven experience with QuickBooks software and advanced proficiency in its features
  • Strong bookkeeping background, preferably in retail, service, or automotive industries
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple transaction types and complex payment reconciliations
  • Experience with weekly reconciliation processes and month-end closing procedures
  • Exceptional attention to detail with ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies
  • Strong independent work capabilities with ability to manage multiple client locations remotely
  • Excellent organizational skills and systematic approach to financial record management
  • Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely with secure access to financial systems
