OVERVIEW


As the Director of Strategy, you will serve as a key architect in shaping the strategic vision and roadmap for our clients. You will lead high-impact initiatives and collaborate closely with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to uncover growth opportunities and build intelligent, data-driven strategies.


This role calls for a visionary leader with deep analytical acumen, boundless curiosity, and a forward-thinking mindset. As a senior leader within BAM’s strategy practice, you will guide integrated solutions across brand strategy, CRM, and digital channels, while mentoring a high-performing team of strategists. Your influence will directly contribute to the evolution of our clients’ businesses and the agency's continued success.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Drive the strategic development and execution of customer engagement, retention, and lifecycle marketing programs, including segmentation, journey mapping, marketing automation, loyalty, and rewards strategies.
  • Define digital strategy roadmaps that align with broader marketing and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders, Account Directors, and VPs to uncover opportunities for organic client growth, using insights and data to shape product and service innovation.
  • Provide strategic leadership across digital marketing channels, overseeing initiatives from ideation through implementation and optimization.
  • Build and lead cross-functional collaboration with teams in Client Services, Media, Analytics, Creative, and Technology to deliver cohesive, insight-driven solutions.
  • Develop clear, actionable strategic frameworks and deliverables, including customer personas, communication architectures, campaign strategies, and personalization plans.
  • Guide the execution of strategic initiatives by developing project scopes, facilitating data analysis, and translating insights into recommendations that drive results.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Mentor and coach junior and mid-level strategists, helping to elevate their thinking and professional growth.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 7+ years of experience in strategic leadership roles within digital marketing, CRM, or consulting environments.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and scaling growth strategies and capitalizing on business opportunities across sectors.
  • Proven ability to articulate complex strategic ideas in a clear, compelling manner to both internal teams and clients.
  • A track record of delivering measurable impact through digital strategy, including traffic growth, engagement, conversion, and ROI.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams, influence senior stakeholders, and navigate organizational complexity.
  • Hands-on experience developing integrated strategies across at least two of the following: CRM, owned digital channels (e.g., websites), or paid addressable media.
  • Adept at producing strategic deliverables such as personas, journey maps, omnichannel activation plans, and digital experience strategies.
