Training Engineer

We have an exciting new role open to join our Professional Services Team in North America.

The Technical Trainer will interact with customers in person and remotely to provide comprehensive and in depth overviews of Ceragon’ s product portfolio. This role is expected to apply problem analysis skills to technical and training-related opportunities. Strong interpersonal skills are required to ensure effective delivery of customer training, internal training, and education-based delivery required in this position. The primary focus will be on technical training on products and associated concepts required in support of these products. The duties of this position dictate that the instructor/developer possess the ability to design, develop and deliver training material across a broad portfolio of products and technologies.

The position will report within the North America business unit and will collaborate with the global training and education organization




Requirements

 Primary Duties

  • Deliver and maintain all assigned Ceragon Networks curriculum courses; develop specific training materials for the North American customer based on the global standards.
  • Manage training equipment inventory and facility setup including booking training rooms.
  • Collaborate with the assigned Project Manager to develop a Service BOM (SBOM) and schedule training sessions.
  • Ensure an SBOM is created for every training opportunity.
  • Work with sales and global training teams to finalize training scope.
  • Collaborate with presales engineering team to finalize training equipment BOM.
  • Work with sales operations to procure the necessary training equipment.
  • Configure and test training equipment before sessions.
  • Conduct in person and remote training sessions for Ceragon customers, partners, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Create training videos for installation and troubleshooting.
  • Travel extensively within North America with occasional international travel as needed.
  • Gather and incorporate attendee feedback to improve training programs.

Qualifications

BS degree in telecommunications, engineering, or computer science discipline or equivalent.

Bilingual in both English and Spanish is an asset.

At least 4 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry of which, at least 2 years’ experience in the telecommunications microwave industry with some time spent in a technical support or technical training role preferred.

Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver technical presentations to a public forum.

Strong oral, written, and electronic media communication skills are essential.

Possess excellent organizational and planning skills.

Demonstrated working knowledge of domestic and international microwave and IP equipment, standards, and architecture.

Strong Ethernet and IP knowledge essential, Layer 2 and layer 3, (IP-MPLS will be a plus).

Working knowledge of radio frequency (RF) and/or wireless transmission design.

Understands the requirements for installing and maintaining wireless radio communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout, and ancillary equipment.

Knowledge of radio element/network management systems.

Knowledge of Ceragon and Siklu products is beneficial.
