Our client who is a leading leasing companies in Europe, offering locomotives and passenger trains is currently looking for a Fleet Manager - Rail (m/w/d) 

Job Description
  • As the backbone of our passenger train fleet, you act as the first point of contact for our customers and answer their technical questions. 
  • You collect and process maintenance and warranty information of our passenger train fleet. 
  • You analyze and optimize fleet performance, based on the available data (maintenance events, train usage, train diagnostics, …). 
  • You manage technical performance reviews and audits of our passenger trains fleet and participate in supplier and sub-supplier assessment audits and First Article Inspection (FAI), at the start of/ prior to the production process. 
  • You prepare technical evaluation documents for new-build projects to define whether to buy the type of train or not and for redesigns and revisions of our trains, used internally and for clarification with suppliers and customers. 
  • You develop maintenance plans to improve Life Cycle Costing (LCC). 
  • You take care of our asset management in accordance with the Alpha Trains BU Passenger quality management system, ECM regulations and other standards. 
  • You inspect new vehicles at the manufacturers. 
  • You support business development by providing technical support to the negotiation and drafting of leasing and purchase contracts. 
  • You take charge of managing the delivery and redelivery of passenger trains, playing a key role in our customer relations and supplier interactions. 
  • You identify and evaluate opportunities to enhance our passenger trains and lease products. 
  • You provide support in case of accident repairs, heavy maintenance, and navigate through contract negotiations. 
  • You will work closely with several departments within our organization, ensuring seamless communication and organization. 
  • You stay vigilant for shifts in European and national regulations, ensuring compliance and accuracy in our operations, providing technical perspective to the project team. 

Qualifications
  • You have a technical background – a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent by experience. 
  • You have 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the rail industry. 
  • You are a native speaker of Czech or Slovak and understand the local requirements. Besides that, you are fluent in English. Any other language is a plus. 
  • You have a customer-oriented and professional approach. 
  • You have a keen eye for improvement. 
  • You build strong relationships effortlessly, fostering trust and collaboration with colleagues, customers, and suppliers alike. 
  • You are willing to travel within Europe - regularly around Czech Republic/ Slovakia and once a month to Cologne
