Job description

NerdWallet is seeking a driven Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the company’s Procurement functions, which include setting up and maintaining vendors, purchasing requisition (PR) creation, and facilitating the PR approval process. We are looking for a problem solver with strong attention to detail, who can bring experience to NerdWallet to help build a strong foundation for the future. We’re looking for a talented individual to help build the procurement department to operate at a level of excellence.

Where you can make an impact:

  • Set up new vendors and maintain vendor files and documents, such as W-9’s, to ensure complete and accurate information
  • Prepare requisitions and purchase orders
  • Prioritize and address stakeholders’ requests accurately and promptly
  • Organize and maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records
  • Communicate with vendors, team members, and managers for effective collaboration
  • Assist in the month-end close accruals
  • Year-end processing of 1099
  • Pick up projects and ad-hoc tasks as they arise

Your experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in accounting or related field and 2-3 years of Procurement experience.
  • Strong work ethic, professional attitude, and reliability
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment with Oracle Cloud, or equivalent ERP is a strong plus
